lyrics
It’s your time
You didn’t even know it
Just take your time, cause everybody cares
It must be right if everybody does it
It must be right if everybody’s there
I feel something creeping
Gonna go back and see where I went wrong
I sold my joy for reason
Gonna go back and see where I belong
They stole your eyes
They climbed up on your back
And they told you lies
Rolled away your fear
Then you just disappear
You breathe it as you covet
But you have it all
So see it while it’s there
I don’t care
I wanna see it
I feel something creeping
Gonna go back and see where I went wrong
I sold my joy for reason
Gonna go back and see where I belong
I feel something creeping
Gonna go back and see where I went wrong
I sold my joy for reason
Gonna go back and see where I belong
"The One That Got Away" is stunning. I couldn't believe it wasn't a standard the first time I heard it. The type of song that seems to have always existed. joel

When I first heard Mercury, I had a hard time getting past the change in sound. Then I saw the band in '98 near Chicago at a reunion show, and everything made sense. After that show, Mercury became one of my favorite records of all time. HUMB shows what Mercury was intended to be, and it's raw, aggressively mixed, without the "arena" feel that Mercury has. The record sounds ahead of its time, honestly, and is a must-own for any TPC fan. A rare definitive statement from a groundbreaking band. djzachlorton
